Land Conservation and Climate Justice

The Adopt-A-Highway program is a testament to the transformative power of community engagement. It is a monthly commitment to keeping our city clean by removing litter and waste from the on and off ramps of the 10 westbound freeway within the city of El Monte, including: Garvey, Peck Rd., and Santa Anita. Volunteering with our Adopt-a-Hwy program provides an opportunity for education and awareness of the direct impact our actions have on our surrounding environment. Litter removal is essential for maintaining a healthy, vibrant, and sustainable environment, benefiting both individuals and the broader community. Our work helps to prevent pollution of land, water, and air. Proper disposal of waste reduces the risk of contaminants entering ecosystems and provides a better quality of life for all inhabitants.
